What is PAT testing?
PAT testing is the common name for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. A competent person inspects the appliance, flex and plug, then carries out instrument tests where required.
The IET Code of Practice is the usual UK technical reference. City & Guilds 2377 is the qualification most clients and insurers recognise.
